Gynecology

What we do

The Department of Gynecology provides advanced, comprehensive, and specialized medical and surgical care across all spectrums of women’s health, from benign gynecological conditions to complex gynecological malignancies.

Key Strengths & Patient-Centered Care

Pioneering Laparoscopic Expertise (Benign Disease): We are a regional leader in Chiba Prefecture for minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries (uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, etc.). We prioritize safety, cosmetic outcomes (minimal scarring), and reduced post-operative complications.

Comprehensive Integrated Cancer Care: As a designated Cancer Care Hospital, we offer complete in-house oncological care—including surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and Cancer Genomic Medicine in collaboration with Medical Oncology.

Convenient Outpatient Options (OPEN Clinic): Patients visiting Kameda Clinic (Kamogawa) who face booking difficulties can access our Walk-in OPEN Outpatient Clinic (no prior appointment needed; registration required before 10:30 AM, Monday–Saturday).

Tokyo & Makuhari Satellite Outpatient Clinics: For patient convenience, attending physicians from our main hospital conduct consultations at our satellite centers:

  • Kameda Kyobashi Clinic (6-min walk from Tokyo Station / Direct access from Kyobashi Station)

  • Kameda MTG Clinic (2-min walk from Kaihin-Makuhari Station)
(Patients seeking surgery are encouraged to mention this when booking for seamless coordination).

Patients staying in K-Tower private rooms enjoy a healing environment with ocean views, thoughtful amenities, and wellness facilities:

Conditions we handle

1. Benign Gynecological Conditions

Minimally Invasive Laparoscopy: Active use of advanced laparoscopic approaches for uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts, enabling swift recovery with hospital discharge typically in 3 to 4 days.

Hybrid & Cosmetically Preserved Procedures: For giant or multiple fibroids unsuitable for laparoscopic-only techniques, we perform Laparoscopic-Assisted Myomectomy or Mini-Laparotomy via a low mini-transverse incision to balance aesthetic outcomes, safety, and curability.

Hysteroscopic & Endometrial Therapies: Hysteroscopic resection for submucosal fibroids and endometrial polyps, as well as Microwave Endometrial Ablation (MEA) for menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding).

2. Gynecological Malignancies & Precancers

Precision Cervical Conization: For high-grade cervical dysplasia (HSIL/CIN3), we utilize a Holmium:YAG Laser for precision tissue removal with minimal bleeding. Thermal coagulation preserves surrounding tissue regeneration, significantly reducing future risks of miscarriage or preterm delivery. (Note: Laser ablation alone without tissue histology is not performed, ensuring exact diagnostic accuracy).

Cervical Cancer: Comprehensive management offering surgery, chemotherapy, and in-house Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy (CCRT)—typically managed as a 1- month inpatient protocol for maximum safety and symptom management.

Uterine / Endometrial Cancer: Staging and curative surgeries tailored to disease extent. Laparoscopic staging is selected when clinically appropriate, strictly prioritizing oncological curability and patient safety.

Ovarian Cancer: Integrated surgical debulking and systemic chemotherapy. We collaborate with Clinical Genetics for genetic testing (BRCA/HRD) to guide targeted molecular therapies (PARP inhibitors).

Recurrent Cancer & Genomic Medicine: Advanced genetic profiling and targeted therapies provided in partnership with the Department of Medical Oncology and Cancer Genomics.
