Radiology

What we do

Our Department of Radiology provides comprehensive medical services across three primary pillars: Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology (IVR), and Radiation Therapy. We utilize state-of-the-art imaging technology to deliver precise diagnoses, minimally invasive treatments, and advanced cancer therapies.

1. Diagnostic Radiology
We specialize in interpreting (reading) medical images acquired from clinical consultations, corporate health screenings, and comprehensive health checkups (Ningen Dock).
Our Medical Team: Our team consists of 10 full-time radiologists (including Kyobashi Clinic) along with dozens of part-time subspecialists.
Comprehensive Network: Utilizing an advanced teleradiology (remote image-reading) system, we provide comprehensive image diagnostic services spanning from routine health screenings to critical care across the Kameda Group, including Kameda General Hospital (Kamogawa) and Kameda Clinic.

2. Interventional Radiology (IVR)
IVR is a minimally invasive medical specialty that uses imaging guidance (such as Fluoroscopy/Angiography, CT, and Ultrasound) to perform precise diagnostic and therapeutic procedures through tiny catheters or needles.
Patient-Friendly Care: Because the instruments used are extremely thin, IVR procedures are highly gentle on the body. Most procedures are performed under local anesthesia, allowing for a shorter recovery time.
Safety & Precision: Real-time imaging guidance ensures that all procedures are conducted with the highest levels of safety and precision.
(For a complete list of conditions treated, please refer to the "Target Diseases" section below).

Conditions we handle

Interventional Radiology (IVR) Services

Three-Dimensional Conformal Radiation Therapy (3D-CRT)
: Standard precision external beam radiation therapy.
Respiratory-Gated Radiation Therapy: Real-time tracking of radiation delivery synchronized with the patient's breathing cycle.
Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT): Highly targeted radiation technique that optimizes dose distribution while sparing healthy surrounding tissues.
Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) for Lung Cancer: High-dose, highly pinpointed radiation treatment for lung tumors.
High-Dose-Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy for Gynecological Cancers: Internal radiation therapy designed for gynecological malignancies.
Total Body Irradiation (TBI): Comprehensive body irradiation typically used prior to bone marrow transplantation.
Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) / Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT) for Brain Tumors: Precision, high-dose irradiation for intracranial lesions.
