Surgical Oncology
What we do
Integrated Multidisciplinary Care & Dual Perspectives
Surgical Expertise Across Multiple Organ Systems: We collaborate closely with specialized surgical teams—including Gastroenterological, Thoracic, Urological, Cardiovascular, Orthopedic, Gynecological, and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery—to perform complex multi-organ resections and advanced anatomical reconstructions.
Comprehensive Internal & Palliative Management: When complete surgical cure is not feasible due to advanced disease stages, we perform targeted palliative or functional surgeries (e.g., restoring enteral nutrition, relieving bowel obstructions, or alleviating severe pain) to enable subsequent chemotherapy or radiation therapy and improve quality of life.
Integrated Oncology Network: Surgical treatment is positioned as one vital component within a broader, long-term care plan. We work side-by-side with the Department of Medical Oncology and the Department of Sarcoma to establish individualized treatment strategies.
