Who This Guide is For
This page is intended for patients paying out-of-pocket (100% self-pay) or using international private/travel insurance (with a Guarantee of Payment / GOP).
Patients enrolled in Japanese Health Insurance (National Health Insurance, Social Insurance, etc.) will follow the standard consultation flow. Please refer to the dedicated page below.
For Patients with Japanese Health Insurance
Our International Department staff will welcome you and provide comprehensive support from your arrival to your departure.
1. Arrival & Check-in
Upon arriving at Kameda Clinic, please proceed directly to the International Information Counter & Premium Lounge at the back of the 1st floor of the Clinic.
Please head towards the green building labeled "Kameda Clinic" on the map.
What to Bring
- Photo ID (Passport or Residence Card)
- Guarantee of Payment (GOP) or Private Insurance Policy
- Referral letter and imaging data (CD-ROM, etc.)
- Medication notebook or currently taken medications
2. Consultation & Examination
After check-in, our staff will guide you to the appropriate clinical department, examination room, or treatment room.
- Examinations: If the doctor orders same-day tests (blood tests, X-rays, MRI, etc.), our staff will escort you to the testing center.
- Consultation & Treatment: The doctor will explain the diagnosis and treatment plan in detail and provide necessary medical care.
International Support: To ensure a smooth and stress-free visit without language barriers, our staff will accompany you to provide hospital navigation and medical interpretation.
3. Billing & Payment
Once all consultations and examinations are complete, please return to the International Lounge for payment procedures.

If you have paid a deposit in advance, our billing staff will settle it against the final billed amount. Any surplus will be refunded, and any shortfall must be paid additionally. |

For International Private/Travel Insurance Users (Cashless Service)
If we have received a Guarantee of Payment (GOP) from your insurance company prior to your visit, you do not need to pay at the counter (Cashless Service).
*Note: You will need to pay for any non-covered medical expenses or deductibles (out-of-pocket costs) using the payment methods listed above.
4. Pharmacy & Follow-up
Before you leave, we will assist you with receiving your medication and any future procedures.
- Prescription Drugs: If medication is prescribed, you can pick it up at the in-house pharmacy after payment. Our staff will accompany you and interpret the pharmacist's instructions.
- Next Appointment: If ongoing treatment or follow-up is required, we will help you schedule your next appointment before you leave.
